Dr. Watterson received his Ph.D. in 2012. While in the lab, his research focused on age-related differences in evaluative reactions to gender stereotype violations.  He was particularly interested in the Gender Intensification Hypothesis, exploring whether adolescents react more negatively to, and receive more negative reactions for, such violations.  Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Assistant Dean for Assessment at Greenville College.
